Earn that Swagger 3.0: Employing Best (Evidence-based) Practices in Difficult and Failed Airway Management with Advanced Ventilator Life Support Sunday, April 7 8:00 AM-5:00 PM This day long intensive program in difficult and failed airway management and advanced ventilator management was designed by senior faculty of The Difficult Airway Course: EMS™ and faculty of the Advanced Ventilator Life Support course for advanced providers at CCTMC. The program starts with a brief research & best practices update and then addresses complex airway cases. The class is dedicated to advanced airway skills labs, where attendees will engage with the airway management of the obese patient, the surgical airway (cutting through simulated skin), the SALAD technique (with a realistic contaminated airway) and optimizing patients using foundational techniques. The ventilator portion of the day will include both didactic and hands-on activities to encompass key fundamentals of mechanical ventilation. The goal will be to provide a level of comfort when managing a patient on the ventilator. This course, which is hosted by the ASTNA, is ideal for critical care providers who want to ensure they are employing best (evidence-based) practices. This event is a Pre-conference workshop held prior to the Critical Care Transport Medicine Conference. Register today as space is limited! Earn 8 CE
