A presentation and conversation around expanding wellness and practicing self-care in order to prevent and/or mitigate PTSD during a prolonged crisis brought to the community by MedEvac Foundation International in partnership with the Association of Air Medical Services. Laurie has been working with Individuals, couples and families for over 20 years. She is experienced in working Military personnel, their families as well as veterans. She specializes in Grief and Trauma and became passionate working for and with first-responders and their families. She enjoys normalizing experience's including physical and psychological reactions. She enjoys helping people live their truth.

Sharon has served on the Air and Surface Transport Nursing Association (ASTNA) for many years, currently in the role of Past- President. Sharon speaks nationally on topics including resilience, mindfulness, and compassion fatigue, as well as providing hands on education to healthcare in an interactive cardiopulmonary lab. Sharon’s nursing career started over thirty years ago working in the emergency department and intensive care unit and fulfilled her dream of becoming a flight nurse over twenty years ago. She believes in encouraging, inspiring and to always continue learning. Sharon’s proudest achievement is her daughter’s both following in her path as trauma nurses, pediatric clinical coordinators and educators for EMS. Sharon believes that each of us have a special talent to share. Together we can encourage, promote, mentor, and learn from each other. She believes it is a privilege to care for a patient.
