Call for ASTNA Content Experts for the Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course Revision
ASTNA is seeking TPATC Instructors and ASTNA members to serve as authors/reviewers/content experts for the upcoming revision to theTransport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC). TheTPATCtarget audience is advanced transport professionals with a minimum of six months transport experience providing direct patient care during transport by ground or air.This course is designed to enhance cognitive knowledge of the pathophysiology, assessment and management of trauma.. Authors and reviewers will work with the Editors and Project Manager to revise chapters for the upcoming 8th Edition text; revise slide presentations based on the revised chapters; and finally, assist in the revision of the online course (reviewing storyboards and/or programmed modules, etc).

Project Schedule and Timelines
The project is scheduled to begin in January 2021, with a goal of the book revisions being completed by June 2021 and course revisions being complete and ready to launch in full by January 2022. The author/reviewer group should be comfortable communicating primarily via email with colleagues and editors and should be open to meeting via teleconference in some instances that require collaboration with other volunteers and editors. Further details on specific deadlines between the start and end of the project will be provided by the Project Manager.
Qualifications
Current membership in ASTNA
Actively involved in the industry as a trauma transport professional
Experience with researching and writing
Experience developing education content
Commitment to complete assignments and meet deadlines according to the schedule set by the project leads
Commitment to participate in teleconference meetings and be responsive to email, as needed

ASTNA is seeking qualified individuals to serve as members of the ASTNA Assessment Committee. The Committee provides general oversight of ASTNA assessment products, including development and review of assessments that support ASTNA’s courses and publications, evaluates the market for new assessment-based products to support member maintenance of certification, and develops and reviews assessment-based products for examination preparation.
Committee Meetings
The committee meets quarterly via teleconference call, with product-specific subgroups meeting more frequently as needed. No in-person meetings are anticipated.
Qualifications
Current membership in ASTNA
Active involvement in critical care transport nursing
Education content and test development experience
Exposure to certification testing procedures and trends in assessment development preferred
Ability and commitment to attend and participate in teleconference meetings
