| Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week to All of ASTNA’s Volunteers! Did you know that April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month? Did you know that currently almost 200 people volunteer their time with ASTNA? Without our volunteers, we would not be able to experience the growth of our association that we have nor could we advance the practice of transport nursing and enhance the quality of patient care through commitment to safety and education which is the mission and vision of ASTNA and the basis for all that we do. We are proud to announce that we have grown to 2,750 members which is the largest membership we have ever had. Please continue to spread the word about ASTNA and let’s hit that 3,000 mark! From the bottom of our hearts, the ASTNA Board of Directors would like to thank all of our volunteers for the countless hours and selfless dedication you have given to your professional association and your industry. You are truly valuable and you are the backbone of this great association! Thank you for your work on various ASTNA projects and committees including Education Committee, Publications Committee, Simulation Committee, CECH Committee, Military Committee, Assessment Committee, Board of Directors, Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course, Online Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course, Pediatric Advanced Transport Course, Online Pediatric Advanced Transport Course, Critical Care Transport Core Curriculum, Critical Care Transport Exam Review Manual, Patient Transport: Principles and Practices, Standards for Critical Care Transport, Human Patient Simulation for Transport Environments, AMJ, Various Position Statements, Authors, Reviewers, Speakers and all other current and past projects and committees. Volunteering is a great way to have a voice and to help further the association and transport industry. Don’t just sign up for membership, be an active member and get involved!
