Every moment counts when transporting patients with time sensitive medical conditions. In this lecture we will discuss how we can improve our efficiency and make every moment count by implementing a slower is faster approach while transporting patients. The slower is faster(SIF) effect occurs when a system performs worse as its components try to do better. Thus, a moderate individual efficiency actually leads to a better systemic performance. We will also discuss other time management strategies such as preparing for the worst and hoping for the best, avoiding multi-tasking, and delegation.
