A New Year Message from the ASTNA President

As we end another year of craziness from 2021, let us focus on ourselves and those around us. The ASTNA Board wishes everyone a very happy and healthy holiday season. Take the time to be present in all you do with family and friends, while being safe.

As often happens this time of year, individuals start to have wandering thoughts, pressure to make holiday events, and be with those they love. While this is of great importance please be vigilant in your decisions while at work. As the days are shorter/night time comes earlier, and the weather patterns tend to be worse, continue to make important and safe decisions while caring for your patients, in all modes of transport. Be the voice that speaks up when a rushed decision is made and return safely home to those that matter, your family and friends.

I wish you a very happy and healthy holiday season, filled with love, laughter, and great times. Enjoy every minute, decompress, and be presentin the moment at all times. Take care of yourselves so you can continue to do what you love, caring for our critical patients, safely. See you at CCTMC in Orange Beach, Alabama on April 11-13, 2022!
