Safety Management Transport Academy (SMTA) Scholarship

To support our members and further support our mission statement, to advance the practice of transport nursing and enhance the quality of patient care through committment tosafety and education,ASTNA will be offering a new scholarship to theSafety Management Transport Academy (SMTA).

This scholarship covers full tuition for year 1 and 2 to attend the Safety Management Transport Academy.

This scholarship is presented to exceptional transport professionals who have a passion for safety and are a leader/member of their organization’s safety committee.ALL ASTNA Members are eligible!

Scholarship

Year 1 - $ 2875.00
Year 2 - $ 2875.00

Criteria:

• Current member of ASTNA
• Must complete the application in its entirety
• Complete a short essay (2-page maximum) on what you consider to be the primary factors affecting air and surface transport safety. Include how you intend to use the education you receive in order to improve air and ground transport safety, both in your organization and nationally
• Currently employed in critical care transport
• Active in safety arena in critical care transport
• Leader/Member of their organization’s safety committee.
• Preferred: advanced certification in transport
  
  
• Letter of support from employer
• Preferred two letters of recommendations
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Commit to complete SMTA coursework for year one and two
• Post conference- send us a video clip telling us what you enjoyed the most about the program and what you learned that will be incorporated into your organization’s safety practices.

SMTA Scholarship applications are due by June 1, 2022
